Give Thanks

This time of year, it is nice to forget about our troubles, think of others, and reflect on what we are thankful for. With troubled times, sometimes it is easy to be pulled down by all the negativity around us. Many things in our lives we take for granted, that millions of people around the world live without their entire lives. This year one of the members of our Primary Presidency challenged each of our children to come up with 25 things they are thankful for, so here is my list of 25:
1. The Gospel of Jesus Christ
2. My Husband and kids
3. Roof over my head
4. Clothes
5. 3 meals a day (or more, usually more)
6. For a car and the ability to put gas in it
7. Education
8. Our jobs to provide for our family
9. My family, parents, siblings and their spouses, and extended family
10. Spencers family, parents and siblings, nieces and nephews
11. Great friendships
12. My Grandparents and their great example to me.
13. Kind and loving neighbors
14. Modern medicine
15. The internet and how it allows us to keep in touch with people all over the world
16. Music and the ability to hear it.
17. Physical body that allows me to do almost anything I want.
18. That Spencer's knee is healing.
19. Our troops and the sacrifices their families and they make for our country
20. Warm, running water, can you image no more hot showers? EEk!
21. For a temple so close to my home.
22. A ward that is so organized and prepared, for anything that may happen.
23. That I can read and write.
24. For my primary class this year and all that they taught me.
25. To spend Thanksgiving with my family this year!

I had a few pics I couldn't resist posting of little Ry, so here you go:

And last but NOT least, a little backstreet boys :)

Congrats Ash! Class of 2008

It seems like only yesterday our little Ash was glued in front of the television watching movie after movie, and eating "si-ee-uhl" (cereal), telling on Ryan for saying naughty words, and crying cause SHE wanted to bathe Alexis, and not Mom. Then came Jr. High, and quickly High School, a drivers license (accomp. by a nice car!), dances, softball, and plenty of shopping with Mom and Dad's money. Now she's graduated, almost finished at MATC, has her first real (non-family) job at a Pediatric Dentist office, and all grown up! We are so proud of you Ash, you are a great sister, daughter, and aunt. Congratulations on graduating! We love you!!

Weekend at Cottle's Ranch
Marshmallow Roast

It was a pretty fun weekend up at Cottle's Ranch, we had rain showers off and on, but were able to do plenty of 4-wheeling, shooting, and playing outside. Everyone had a lot of fun. One of the days we drove out to City of Rocks that was a bunch of fun, and later that night we had a marshmallow roast and made smores(Yum!). Whitney was nice enough to play some tunes on her guitar for us, she's really good at the guitar, thanks, Whit!
Sunday, we went a visited the graves and decorated them, it was a nice day, sunny and warm.
